We follow the Social Model (versus the Medical Model), in which we view all of our differences as just that, differences. By participating in the Neurodiversity Movement, we hope to help bring acceptance to the world!
The service delivery model will vary based on your child's needs. It may be a parent coaching model or a direct delivery model (videos). The speech therapist may only spend 1-1.5 hours a week with your child, you will spend every day with them. Therefore, in most cases, the parent coaching model or the direct model with parent involvement, is recommended in order for you to learn how to elicit language and support your child.
